In the year 2000, the Cavaliers put a winning show on the field.
With their show titled “Niagara Falls”, they would end the season with the 3rd world championship win in the corps’ history.
They would place 2nd in both the Quarter and Semi-finals, but they would catch up to the Cadets on finals night with a score of 97.65.
This was the 3rd ever tie in DCI history, with Phantom Regiment and Blue devils in 96 being the first, and Blue Devils and the Vanguard in 99.
The Cavaliers’ would go on to win the next two seasons, the first ever “threepeat”. A feat that no other drum corps has been able to match, the Blue Devils coming close multiple times.
The Cavaliers’ throughout the early 2000’s would place below 3rd, with 5 total wins, 2 Silver Medals, and 2 Bronze Medals.
Since their reign in the early 2000’s, the cavaliers would only finish 2nd one more time in 2010. Even more recent was their 4th place finish in 2017, after a rough few years reaching as low as 9th in the standings.
The Cavaliers are an excellent Drum Corps, they have class and talent that their fans can be proud of.
I hope to see them make it back into the top three again in the coming years.
